On Thanksgiving day I brought some crafts for the girls to do while we were with the family. I knew the day would consist of woman in the kitchen, men watching football and the kids running around playing with cousins. At some point the kids would need some organized fun so here is what the girls made.
These are turkeys they made.
Kristina's has the pink head and Vanessa's is the blue head. mommy and daddy helped with both. These were a family craft. (not sure what happened to one of Nessa's feet and one of Kristina's eyes. Must have gotten lost while transporting them back home).
These are there "Thankful Turkeys". Each feather has something their thankful for written on them. We helped with cutting them out (Kristina did some of her own cutting) but they glued and Kristina wrote a good amount of her things herself.
Kristina is thankful for: a house, Jesus, my family, friends, colors, (not sure what the red one says) and toys.
Vanessa glued all of hers together and even cut out her head and body with a little guidance.
Vanessa is thankful for: God, candy, the sun, her blanket, Papa (and then she began to name every member of her immediate and extended family so for the last one we just summed it up) and family. :)
I plan to do this again next year and see how their "thankfulness" evolves. We will also include Bryce eventually.
