The weekend before Christmas we took the girls to look at some Christmas lights. There is a farm in Bonita called "The Fletcher's" and they'ver known for their thousands of lights and decorations they put up every year. You park in their horse field and are allowed to walk around for free (donations are welcome). My parents used to take my sisters and I when we were little girls and I was VERY excited to take our children when we had them. The past three years The Fletcher Home has not done their lights because of electrical damage from a flood we had three years ago. Thanks to a financial donation from Home Depot they're back in business this past Christmas. The following are the pictures of us taking our kids for the first time.
The girls in the SUV right as we were parking and getting ready to get out. They were soo excited...if you can't tell.
Vanessa's hands were getting cold and she didn't have pockets so she put her hands in her pants. Pockets and putting her hands in them are her new thing.
Silly Face time in front of Santa's workshop.
This is a landscape view of just part of the farm. There are a lot more decorations in the garage (to the right) and the barn (behind us).
Daddy and the girls.
Bryce and mommy.
This is a picture of our house that daddy decorated. He was so creative he even decorated the FOR SALE sign.
Good work Babe!
The weekend before Christmas we decided to make a night of Christmas light sight-seeing. There is a neighborhood in our town where almost every home in the community decorates their homes. They're so well known that for almost the whole month of December EVERY night, there is a stream of cars driving around just to do some sight seeing. Some streets have themes, one street has lighted arches you drive under, and on Christmas Eve all the families sit out in their driveways and some pass out yummies, other have bon fires...it's a lot of fun.
We loaded up the kids, the sweaters, the blankets and the hot coco (because it was a chilly night) and were on our way. The girls and I hopped into the back of our SUV once we got to the community and we opened the window and looked at the decorations and drank coco as daddy slowly drove us around (Bryce stayed in his car seat). I didn't take any pictures of that but afterword we went back to The Fletcher's Home because SANTA was in town!!! The following are pictures of Santa.
Bryce all bundled up.
The girls getting back in their seats after looking at lights and ready to go visit Santa.
Santa: "Kristina, what would you like for Christmas?"
Kristina: "I want a Barbie doll that has a puppy."
We knew she wanted a Barbie Doll (it's all she talked about) but we didn't know she specifically wanted one with a puppy until she told Santa. Kristina was very comfortable sitting on Santa's lap and gave him a big hug!
Vanessa was not as comfortable. So daddy held her for the picture.
Bryce's first time sitting on Santa's lap.
Santa gave the girls candy canes. It was a good night!
Lot's of fun memories
